Gundam Seed fanfic: Wolf Rider ch. 12

Mood: e_e
Location: At the library
Music: DBSK - Insa

Oh god... it's been boiling hot these past few days... @_@ I really really hate the heat! It makes you all sticky and sweaty and makes it impossible to think or get anything done. Which explains why this post was posted a little later than I had originally planned for it. I want another thunderstorm... (we had one on saturday and it was SO cool!!) My classroom at summer school is also really really hot! I cannot believe that there is NO AC! (What is wrong with that school?!) But luckily, since the room was too hot, the teacher arranged for us to change into another spare room which is cooler. Anyway, enough of my chatter... here's the 12th chapter which is centered around Athrun and Nicol (the chapter's name is Nicol as well, so that gives it away anyway). I originally planned for this fanfic to be about 15 chapters, but now it seems that it isn't ending as quickly as I had thought, so I'll just let things go as they will. Hope you enjoy~

Shining Inheritance/Brilliant Legacy End

Mood: ^3^
Location: At the desk
Music: Linkin Park - Faint

Yesterday was when the last episode of Shining Inheritance was aired. After 28 long episodes, it finally ended lol. The 28th episode tied up all the loose knots and those who were evil were punished, though in a reasonable way for both sides. The ending was pretty good, with the two main leads ending up with each other, but I was a little sad for Jun Se, since he didn't really end up with anyone despite being such a great, awesome, kind character... Don't you just hate it when the really nice guys (that don't seem to exist in real life) don't end up with the main character, or anyone? Agh! What a waste... I was hoping for some romance to blossom between him and Hye Ri, Eun Sung's best friend.. since she's really nice as well.

I liked the episode, since it wasn't too corny/cheezy, though it did have the usual 'i'm leaving, so please wait for me until i come back'. There was a scene which I liked a lot: it was when Hwan and Eun Sung's younger brother, Eun Woo were eating together. Hwan was bribing the poor kid that if he was lonely or if his older sister was caught with another man, he'd phone him. XD In overall, it was a great series and highly recommended! (Though, what I'll watch now... I don't know yet).

Just a Note: For those who read Wolf Rider, my AthrunxCagalli fanfic, the chapter is nearly finished (just got to finish some loose ends and such), so please expect it on time. Thanks~

Darkest Powers Series by Kelley Armstrong

Mood: ^_^
Location: On the beanbag, curled up in a corner sipping ice cappuchino
Music: Someday - Do You Know (Boys Over Flowers OST)

Beware of spoilers! -ahem-

Okay, there's this series that I've been obsessing
myself over with for the past couple of weeks. It's the Darkest Powers Series by Kelley Armstrong! I mean, when I first read Twilight (I know there's quite a number of people who don't like that book), I was kind of hyped up for the series, but man... this series is SO much better! This series also has some of the same genres like Romance and Supernatural, but more towards my liking.

In Twilight, everyone is described as deathly 'beautiful' and 'gorgeous' which doesn't happen in real life. (Yes yes, I know that the reason is because they're vampires, but really... there's no such thing as being perfect!) In the Darkest Powers, there are a whole range of unique characters, including the heroine, Chloe Saunders, Simon Bae, Liz
Delaney, Tori Enright, Rae Rogers and especially, Derek Souza.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The Summoning (1st book of the series)

Summary: This is about a girl named, Chloe Saunders, who attends the theater program at her special art school in Buffalo. She aspires to become a movie director due to her deep interest of movies, but one day, everything changed when she started to see ghosts and they see her. Thinking that she is 'ill', Chloe finds herself dumped at a group home called the Lyle House, where a group of teenagers stay. But during her stay, Chloe realizes that her roommates are not what they appear to be and decides to unearth the secrets that have been buried at Lyle House.

Here's my view on the main characters:
Chloe Saunders: A 15 year old girl who is short in nature (5ft) with shoulder-length strawberry blond hair with red highlights. Chloe has a deep interest in movies and hates being mistaken for being younger than she really is. At Lyle House, Chloe is diagnosed as a
shizophrenic (someone who sees things that aren't there), but in reality, she is a necromancer who can raise and see the dead. Chloe was unwilling to accept the fact that she was a necromancer, but Derek Souza, one of the other teenagers staying at Lyle House forces her to. Chloe gets along well with Rae Rogers and Simon Bae, who the book has hinted that she has some feelings towards.

Derek Souza
: A 16 year old guy who is described to be extremely tall (6 feet something) with shoulders as wide as the door. He has an acne problem, which Chloe often states in The Summoning, refering him to the 'Before' picture in an acne commercial. Derek is Simon's foster brother, who came to live with him at a young age, resulting for the two of them to become quite close. Derek is very quiet by nature and has startled Chloe on many occasions, causing her to fear and dislike him. He has proven to have enormous strength when Chloe finds out from reading his file that he had once thrown someone against the wall (to protect his brother), resulting in a fatal injury. It is discovered near the end of the book that Derek is a werewolf, who has not fully transformed into one as of yet.

Simon Bae: A 15 year old guy who is Derek's foster brother. He is described as a charming, good-looking guy that is part Korean and part Swedish. He has dark blond spiky hair and is shorter than his brother. Tori Enright, one of the teenagers staying at Lyle House, has a deep interest in him, though it appears to be one-sided. Simon is quite athletic and enjoys a variety of sports. It is found out near the middle of the book that Simon is a novice-sorcerer and can project mist and levitation spells. Before he and Derek landed in Lyle House, it is learned that Simon had been cornered by a group of guys who had something against Vietnamese, which Simon shoots back that he wasn't and that he was Korean, which angers them. Just when they were about to pull a knife on him, Simon was saved by Derek, who scared off the offenders and threw the one with the knife against the wall. Chloe seems to have some feelings for Simon.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I like Derek A LOT! Sure, he isn't as 'good-looking' as Simon, from what Chloe says, but I think that his character is rather unique. He is rather blunt and is very quiet. Derek doesn't open up to anyone but his adoptive father and his brother, that is, until Chloe comes along. Though the two of them were at odds for the majority of the first book, they become much closer in the second and is hinted that Derek may have developed some feelings for Chloe, though Chloe is still romantically interested in Simon.

I hope that in the third book, Derek and Chloe will get together after all they have been through. Though Chloe claims that she likes Simon and not Derek, I think that she knows Derek a lot better with the experiences that they have been through.

The first book was released in July 2008 while the second, The Awakening, was released near the end of April 2009. The third and last in the triology, The Reckoning has been marked to be published by May 2010. So, if you haven't read this book, GO READ IT NOW!

Gundam Seed fanfic: Wolf Rider ch. 11

Mood: ._.
Location: On the pillow
Music: F.I.R - Yue Ya Wan

I was somehow able to stick to my deadline, though last night, I was being a little panicky about it lol. At the end of June, I was reading this series called Darkest Powers by Kelley Armstrong which features supernaturals and one of the characters is also a werewolf... with modified genes, who escaped his laboratory. Though I didn't make the connection at first, I later realized that the character was similar to Athrun (in my fic) in the beginning, where he is cold and untrusting. However, before I get questioned on the relations between my story and that story, it is a coincidence that our characters (and the part of 'modified genes' and 'escaping the lab') were similar since I released my fanfic in May while the author published her story in July. I'll post my review on her series later, but I really really recommend it!

deadline: Wolf Rider ch 11

Mood: ._.
Location: Encaged in my own room
Music: F.I.R - Fly Away

It's been a while since I last posted, but I just wanted to give out the deadline for the next chapter of my fanfic, Wolf rider... I've slacked off enough during the year so I wanted to get things back on track.. not to mention, I really really want to start a new fanfic soon. Anyway, I think that if I'm able to keep these deadlines, then my progress might be something worth noting lol. Anyway, I think it'll be better for now on that I update (for one fic at least...) twice a month... the 1st and 15th of each month. That way, things would be going on much smoother.

It's the 8th today and I haven't started on chapter 11, but I should get around to that soon. Anyway, just wanted to say, by July 15th at the most, please expect my next chapter~

Shugo Chara (Feat. Ikuto) Ch. 42

Mood: ^3^
Location: On the hillside
Music: SS501 - My Girl

Okay, I've finally read the latest chapter of Shugo Chara today and I've gotta say that it's probably one of the best chapters in that whole series... well, depending on whether or not you're an Amuto fan! The art was extremely well drawn and eye-candy... especially the front cover

My inner voice nearly blew my brain to bits... so nicely done!! I loved how Amu cannot stop thinking of Ikuto for the whole chapter... it must be official: The Amuto Ending that we've all been waiting/hoping for! Best part would probably be when Amu nearly fell off the horse that they were riding on (but of course, Ikuto proved his worthiness by saving her!) and the part where they held hands in and out of the Haunted House.... SO SWEET! But... at the end, Ikuto told her that he would no longer be able to see her. -GASP!- I wonder why?!?! AGH, the suspense is killing me, lol. I really really cannot wait for the next chapter. I think that Amu would realize her love (talk about time!) for him, since she'll continue to think about him and the fact that he wouldn't be there... YES! (That's what I want to happen XD)

Anyway, some more pictures that I really liked in the chapter:

and of course:
